Feedback - Christian Schimanski "Traveller Slide Edition"
As a guitarist for recording studios I must be able to offer any desired and required sound. Since I have been playing steel guitar and Dobros for the past 30 years, I am often hired for these instruments. But what to do, when a song is not supposed to sound like "country"?
For many years I've been living with compromises, but in summer 2001 Dietmar and I got the idea: It had to be a guitar, which could be played with the same technics as my Dobro but sound like an acoustic, had to be handled easily on stage as well, etc.
It took some months, but in December Dietmar came over and handed me the "Jam Traveller Slide Edition" (Traveller with a square neck to be positioned on the lap).
I was enthusiastic about it immediately. The guitar has got everything I need: extremely easy to play, the sound adjuster has a perfect place and works effectively. So to speak: "Plug it in and let's go" The guitar sounds really good and last but not least (the eyes "listen", too). The looks are wonderful. I don't want to be without this guitar anymore.
It's just like always with Dietmar: Super job!
